What a year 2014 was for all of us at Pioneer Plastics! As we begin the new year, we thought we’d recap some of the highlights from this past year and let you know what new and exciting events will be happening for us in 2015.
Business was booming this past year as Hobby Lobby decided to put our products on an end-cap display. Hobby Lobby is one of the largest hobby and craft stores in the nation. Being showcased on prime retail real estate like end-cap displays is evidence of their commitment to our quality products.
We attended the Entomological Society of America show in November. For some of you this might not sound too fun but we had a great time! The show drew more than 3,400 attendees and included researchers and scientists, teachers, collectors, and all-around bug enthusiasts. Exhibiting at a show like this brings us face to face with current customers, helps us introduce our products to new customers, and gives us the opportunity to interact with other industry professionals. Those who were unfamiliar with our outstanding products were excited to see them in person.
The end of this year brings some personnel changes to Pioneer. Jodie and Dan will be leaving the company after Christmas and we are sad to see them leave. We wish them all the best! Transitioning into Dan’s role is Jeremy May. He’s been in the plastics industry for over 10 years and will be handling Sales and Engineering responsibilities for Dan’s customers. We are happy to welcome him to our team!
We also have a new President! Eddie Knapp has been with us for 25 years so he knows the business well. He is taking over responsibilities from his father, who is still active in the business. Business will continue as usual and we look forward to continued success in the future.
Speaking of the future—we have big plans for 2015! We will be attending many more trade shows this year. Watch for upcoming announcements of where we will be and plan to come by a show and say hello!
We will also be making changes to how our products are displayed on our website. Products will be showcased with new images and photos of our entire product line. Distributors and customers will be able to see each product in real world applications (filled with items), available options, different configurations, and of course plain (empty). These photos will help customers see how versatile and variable our products are and how we meet the needs of a wide variety of industries.
With the changing of the calendar page, we say goodbye to a wonderful 2014 and hello to an exciting and new 2015. We look forward to another year of supporting current and new customers with exceptionally high-quality plastic products proudly Made in the USA.
Happy New Year!
